the last u turn in the US

We also took an adventure in SW California. We started out by going over the Coronado bridge (with the "Life is worth it" anti-suicide signs) and then went South. We drove through the most SW city in the US and ended up at the border.
Needless to say we were chicken to cross the border. We didn't know what sort of identification is needed (we later found out that it's a passport or your Driver's License and a Birth Certificate). So instead we went back and forth over the foot bridge and were tourists.
So yea...last chance to turn around!

The actual actuals

Yes, that is the actual Frederick's of Hollywood. You know, not the random one in your local mall, the real Frederick's that is on Hollywood Blvd.

We didn't go in, but we were tourists and took a picture of the star in front of the store.

What was funny, is that you can tell the tourists on the Blvd. Most tourists are looking up at buildings and seeing sites in other cities. Those that visit the Walk of Fame are looking down at the stars. It is a different viewpoint, that is for sure.

Visiting Mike's Work

One of the two main things that Heather wanted to do when she visited is see where Michael worked.
This was taken in the lobby of Upper Deck HQ in Carlsbad, CA. The standee in the background is for the Art of the WoW TCG. The Magtheridon channelers are in that book. I think that is the art request that I am most proud of so far.

Backstory

Heather Parr, aka Heather Girard, is the older sister of Michael Girard. Often rivals growing up, we both reconciled, especially after I grew up. We tried to keep in contact a lot, but it was often hard. We have recently been keeping in contact better (usually talking about once a week), especially since Michael's issues in November.

Heather wanted to do something nice, so she decided to come out and visit for Michael's 30th birthday (he hates getting old).

This blog will be a recap of the what went down during the trip. With lots of photos
